Kraftors AI&R has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Healthy Ideas LTD, UK, to explore the co-development of digital health solutions, including Continual Sleep, a sleep-focused healthcare application currently in development.
For us, this collaboration is about more than a formal agreement. It represents an opportunity to work on a problem that requires curiosity, research, engineering, and a willingness to keep learning.
When we started Kraftors, software development was an important part of our journey. It still is. But our ambition has always been to do more than build software based on requirements provided by others.
We wanted to develop the knowledge and technical capabilities needed to investigate difficult problems and create products of our own.
This collaboration is one step towards that goal.
Why We Are Interested in Difficult Problems
Some technology projects begin with a clear specification and a well-understood solution. Others begin with a question that has no easy answer.
The second kind of problem requires a different mindset.
It involves studying available information, testing assumptions, experimenting with different approaches, and understanding why something works or fails.
That is the kind of work we want to encourage at Kraftors.
Our growing focus on AI Development, machine learning, and data science reflects this ambition. These fields provide opportunities to investigate complex challenges, but meaningful progress still depends on research, good engineering, and careful evaluation.
A Collaboration Built Around Complementary Knowledge
Healthy Ideas LTD brings experience in clinical research, public health, behavioural science, and scientific research.
Kraftors contributes expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, and technical architecture.
Together, the organisations will explore opportunities to combine healthcare knowledge with technology development.
One area of this collaboration is Continual Sleep.
The Question Behind Continual Sleep
Sleep tracking may seem straightforward. A person goes to bed, a wearable device collects information, and a system generates a report.
But what happens when someone is lying completely still and is not asleep?
They might be thinking, trying to fall asleep, or briefly awake in the middle of the night. A device that observes physical activity may find it difficult to distinguish these situations reliably.
This raises a deeper question: how can sleep-related data be interpreted more effectively, and what approaches might help address the limitations of existing methods?
These are the types of questions we want to investigate through Continual Sleep.
The work involves exploring data, experimenting with machine learning methods, testing possible approaches, and examining their limitations.
We are not claiming to have solved this problem. The application is still under development, and there is considerable work ahead.
What matters is our willingness to investigate the challenge carefully and learn from the process.
Why Healthcare Expertise Matters
Technology alone cannot address every healthcare challenge.
Understanding clinical needs, human behaviour, and real-world healthcare settings is equally important. That is why bringing together expertise from different disciplines can be valuable.
The UK–India collaboration with Healthy Ideas LTD creates an opportunity to explore digital health development through a combination of scientific knowledge and technical capabilities.
For Kraftors, it also represents the kind of international relationship we want to develop further: one built around shared learning, research, and product co-development.
Our Journey from Lucknow
Kraftors is based in Lucknow, India. We believe that geography should not define the limits of technological ambition.
What matters is the quality of the work, the capabilities of the people involved, and their determination to solve meaningful problems.
Collaborating with a UK-based healthcare organisation is an opportunity to put that belief into practice.
It connects our engineering capabilities with specialised healthcare knowledge and creates space to explore new possibilities in digital health.
What This Means for Kraftors
We want to continue developing our capabilities in AI Development, machine learning, data science, healthcare technology, experimentation, and product development.
More importantly, we want research and continuous learning to become a lasting part of how we work.
Technology will continue to change. Tools and frameworks that are popular today may eventually be replaced. The ability to learn, investigate, and solve problems will remain valuable.
We did not start Kraftors simply to build what businesses need today. We want to build a company that can keep learning, creating, and solving problems for years to come.
Our collaboration with Healthy Ideas LTD is another step in that direction, bringing together Lucknow and the UK to explore the future of digital health technology.
